Partner With The 180 Center
He affectionately called them Partner (click to read entire story)
my dad liked to spend individual time with each of his grandchildren. On these special days, he would affectionately call his grandchild his “Partner.” This term of endearment adequately expressed the importance of my dad’s relationship with each one.
When my dad passed away, my daughter didn’t talk about missing Grandpa; instead, she said it wouldn’t be the same without her “Partner.” My dad led all of his children to God and was a disciple to many others. He inspired so many to be in partnership with the God of the universe.
The 180 Center values partnership. Partnership in ministry means sharing the joys, the struggles and the rewards of seeing lives transformed for God’s glory. Discipleship happens seven days a week at The 180 Center; only through partnership and teamwork can God’s work be accomplished.
We invite you to partner with The 180 Center on a monthly basis. Can you commit to pray for us monthly? Prayer is truly the fuel that powers the Holy Spirit to work through us to help the homeless in New Haven.
Also we invite you to partner with us financially. Can you commit to give $10, $25 or $50 on a monthly basis? Any size gift is greatly appreciated.
Your partnership with The 180 Center comes with a special blessing. In Luke 14:14, Jesus says when we give to the poor we will be blessed because the poor cannot repay us.
Our ministry in New Haven is to the homeless, and I do not receive a salary for the work I do there. That means your reward can only come from God! That’s exciting!
Like my dad, I have discovered there is no greater reward than seeing lives transformed and used for God’s glory. I encourage you to pray about committing to a monthly partnership with The 180 Center. Ask God to lead you and direct you. We, in turn, will also be praying for God to speak to you.
Thank you so much for taking time to read this letter. Most of all, thank you for taking time to pray about your relationship with us. We appreciate you.
